Jeremy has been obsessed with Moscow Mules this summer. It’s the first mixed drink I’ve really seen him get into, as he’s so into craft beer. He’s perfected the classic Moscow Mule and, while I enjoy them, too, I became curious as to whether there might be an autumn-inspired version.
There sure is!
And it’s as easy as adding a little apple cider and cinnamon.
Even if you’re not a fan of the standard Moscow Mule, I highly suggest you give this one a try. The apple cider changes up the flavor so much!
We followed this recipe, via Sugar & Charm, and it was perfect!
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
via Sugar & Charm | Makes one drink.
- 2 ounces ginger flavored vodka (non-flavored will work, too!)
- 2 ounces apple cider (store bought or homemade)
- Juice of 1 small lime wedge (we just used a few squirts of lime juice)
- Good quality ginger beer to top off (about 1/2 cup or so)
- Cinnamon to sprinkle
In a copper mug, add the vodka, apple cider and lime juice. Fill the glass with ice, sprinkle cinnamon over the ice, then top off with ginger beer. Stir well and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.
All done. Now sit back and enjoy!
Which of your cocktails do you like to add a twist to every now and then?
xo, Aly
