Happy Halloween! We hope you’ve all had a wickedly wonderful October and have enjoyed plenty of treats and thrills ahead of All Hallow’s Eve. This is always our favorite time of year, and it always goes by way too fast. It’s been a beautiful fall here in Indiana, though it got off to an incredibly summery start. We’re now in full-blown chilly morning, colorful and crunchy leaf season and are savoring this fleeting chapter of autumn before it transitions to winter. Give me all the cozy knits, pumpkin spice, and golden light!
I was a bit slow to decorate for Halloween this year, getting all the finishing touches up just days before our third annual party. But it helped to have our costumes figured out months in advance. I’ve had the idea for quite some time now to tap into some magical mythology and transform into a few of the most recognizable Greek figures: Zeus, Medusa, and Pegasus!
So, we rounded up a few key pieces for our get-ups and with strike of magical lightning, Jeremy was zapped with a head of electric white hair and a mighty bout of strength. I grew a crown of golden snakes and few glittery green scales. And Rosie sprouted a pair of pearly white, feathery wings!
We’re back to our earthly forms, now, and fortunately didn’t leave too much destruction in our wake. At least, I don’t believe Jeremy struck anyone down, nor did I turn anyone to stone. Rosie, however, may have melted a few hearts as she fluttered on by—and possibly made some of our guests’ Halloween treats disappear from their plates before their very eyes…
We hope you all have a very fun, safe, and legendary Halloween!
