Hi friends, and Happy New Year! We had a blast (from the past) celebrating with friends and family last night 1960s style.
A few years ago, we threw a 1980s themed NYE bash and decided to keep going back decade to decade until we reach the 1920s or 30s and it’s been a ton of fun. Almost everyone dresses up and we try to fill our home with images, movies, music, and food from the era we’re channeling.
This year was probably the easiest for us since I (and my parents) had so many 1960s-ish items already on hand. It was so much fun going through the posters, movies, books, jewelry, and various other keepsakes I accumulated in high school to get ready for this one… I was kind of obsessed with all things mod and hippie and it brought back a lot of memories from those years – and inspiration for this one!
We hope you had a great end to 2015, however you celebrated!
Long live the 60s and cheers to a new year filled with peace, love, and positivity!
xo, Aly
