It seems like every week, I’ve discovered something new and spend several days (and sometimes weeks and months following the initial discovery) obsessing about it.
While I discovered Dallas Clayton‘s work several months ago, this week I came across a few of his new illustrations that hit me right in all the feels and have found myself, almost daily, scrolling through post after post in his Instagram feed.
“Dallas Clayton is a renown author and illustrator. He began his career in children’s books with the wildly successful Awesome Bookseries, which lead to him being hailed by many as “the new Dr. Seuss.” His work has been translated into over 20 different languages and his powerful words and unique drawing style have inspired millions.” -Giant Artists
Even his simplest illustrations leave me feeling inspired, uplifted, motivated, and best of all, understood.
I think he’s the master of honing in on those thoughts and feelings all of us have – despite our age, race, gender, or current life situation – and presenting them in a way that says, “We can all understand and empathize with each other if we really want to, because we’re all human.”
I highly recommend you follow him on Instagram for a daily dose of happy.
