Hi, friends! Life’s been pretty crazy lately. I’ve practically been living behind the camera lens the past few weeks. We’ve had some unusually nice weather here in Indiana, and ’tis the season for family portraits. On top of that, I spent Saturday filming my cousin Erika’s wedding!
I’m excited to have a little time off to focus on editing, and also to get back into some routine before the holiday season hits hard. I can’t believe it’s just around the corner! My goal is to have all planning and shopping done by the first week of December. Ha! Keep dreaming, Aly. Keep dreaming.
Anyway, the nice thing about constantly having a camera in my hands the last few weeks has been that I’ve not only captured others’ memories – I’ve snapped a few of our own around here. Of course, my favorites have all been of this tiny, crazy ball of energy we like to call Rosie.
We’ve been talking a lot about how, at the end of a long and stressful day or week, it’s the best feeling in the world to walk up to the porch and see her little face looking out the window, waiting for us.
She constantly has us laughing, snuggles up with us at all the right moments, and genuinely makes our lives so much better.
We’ve been feeling a lot of guilt about just how much time she spends by herself throughout the week, and so it’s been decided… this holiday season, we’ll be searching local shelters and animal rescues for her perfect brother or sister (!!!)
Wish us luck. It’s going to be quite the search finding a pup as quirky and as unique as she is!
xo, Aly
P.S. – We adopted Rosie back in March of 2013 from Perfect Paws Pet Rescue based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. We strongly believe in adopting pets from local shelters. There are so many fur babies just waiting for their forever homes!
