It usually takes Jeremy and I quite some time to decide what we want to be for Halloween. Since getting Rosie, we always like to incorporate her, too, and sometimes that can prove a bit difficult.
This year, we were tossing around ideas and when we rattled off Beauty and the Beast, we took only a second’s pause to consider what Rosie would be before it dawned on us both at once: the enchanted rose!
And that was that. Perfect.
I’ve always adored Belle and have felt extra tied to her over other Disney characters ever since I was a wee one, mostly because of her love of literature, I think.
Of course, we made the decision months ago, but didn’t get around to pulling our costumes together until just days before Halloween, making last minute adjustments and additions as we were heading out the door to a Halloween wedding.
Our eleventh hour Halloween costume rush is kind of a tradition.
Anyway, I couldn’t be happier with how simple this year’s costumes were to make and how fun they turned out.
Can I also mention how SO VERY excited we both are for the upcoming Beauty and the Beast film, starring the darling Emma Watson, to come out next year?
And lastly, has everyone had a chance to watch Angela Lansbury (Mrs. Potts) singing “Tale as Old as Time” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Beauty and the Beast?
We hope you had a great Halloween, friends!
